Cryptocurrency is confusing and intimidating. Or at least it seems that way. So when the Young Shits competition challenged us to demystify and educate the public about cryptocurrency, we thought it’d be best to dumb it down to the lowest possible level. Like drunk college kid levels.
A game for 3+ people
Every box of FUD comes with a die, a sleeve of cups & a mini crypto slang dictionary.
Everyone should have their own pre-made drink, it doesn't matter what it is. Enjoy yourself.
Players will go around the table each taking turns rolling the die. You must complete the rule that’s assigned to the number that was rolled. Each rule sheds light on a different aspect of how the crypto world works.
THE RULES
Cryptocurrency is not tied to any nation or bank, so there are no systematic biases or bureaucratic red tape for transactions to process.
Ain’t no laws when you’re drinking claws! - Or when you’re part of a decentralized unregulated digital currency.
Make up a rule or a mini-game that everyone has to partake in until the next one is rolled (examples include: everyone must use t-rex arms for the next round)
Whenever a transaction occurs it must be validated by every computer in the blockchain network. All the transactions are encoded using a technique called cryptography. This protects against hackers and bots.
Prove you're not a robot. Complete a truth or dare to the satisfaction of the rest of the table to make sure we can trust you.
Blockchain is a digital, unchangeable ledger that keeps track of every transaction that takes place within it forever.
Heath Ledger forever! Just like the permanent unchangeable ledger of a blockchain, Heath will always be in our hearts.
Whoever rolled this needs to do their best Heath Ledger impression (from the movie of their choice) for the entire next round or else they have to finish their drink.
Cryptocurrency is any digital token or coin that can be used in transactions on a blockchain. There’s more than 4,000 cryptocurrencies that exist today.
Every player must make up a name for a new cryptocurrency. The roller of this number will pick their favorite. All losers drink. Is the name cool? Or is it just sounds trying to make a word?
The value of cryptocurrency goes up and down based on the scale of community involvement, aka users’ demand, scarcity, or the coin/tokens utility.
1,2,3 everyone points at a random player. Take as many sips as many people are pointing at you.
Don’t feel bad if you didn’t drink a lot, some coins are late bloomers.
Crypto was made to enable secure trading across the globe with anyone, instantaneously.
Trade cups with the person of your choosing and both parties have to take a sip. When you get Mono You can pay for your copay with all you’re fancy crypto
